Responsibilities

ISYS Technologies is looking for a Training Liaison to provide and maintain Standoff Munitions expertise and lessons learned repository.  The successful candidate will consolidate documentation from experts in the field, lessons learned from exercises and contingency operations and consolidate them for future operations in support of geographic combatant commanders' warfighting needs.  Develop, review, and revise SMAC member training instructional materials in accordance with established learning objectives.  Prepare course materials from subject matter expert (SME) inputs and personal knowledge, insuring proper correlation with control documents and the application of educational principles

 

Functional Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan, coordinate, design, and validate major components of SMAC training instructional design
  • Use a practical knowledge of AFI 11-202v1, AFI 13-1AOCv1 and any 608th and SMAC Supplements, and a wide range of approaches in instructional systems development to produce effective learning maps and to perform sound learning analyses
  • Analyzes SMAC training course content and target population to determine learning objectives and develop instructional design plans
  • Develops SMAC training course plans based on analysis of learning problems and selection of appropriate teaching models and strategies. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances that drive new methods or approaches different from existing guidelines
  • Identifies tasks that can be efficiently and effectively supported by job or skill performance aids
  • Evaluates effectiveness of instructional design and modifies accordingly. Validates training instruction, curriculum, and resourcing for assigned courses. As required, instructs to ensure educational validity and quality of course design
  • Assists in the development of, with the guidance of SMAC leadership, the SMAC Supplement to AFI13-1AOCV2
  • Prepares supplemental material in the form of study guides, case studies, practical exercises, and instructor manuals. Develops effective instructional materials which include order of presentation, level of interaction, feedback, and remediation
  • Determines the requirement for measurement items and develops measurement devices, using SME inputs, insuring conformance with educational testing principles and comprehensive coverage of the objectives of the courses assigned. Analyzes learning objectives and corresponding measurement instruments used, to ensure the instruments are current and effectively measure attainment of the objectives
  • Reviews, revises, and rewords test items as necessary to meet instructional objectives and alignment with regulations and TTPs. Develops recommendations which relate to policy, coverage of courses, instructional methods, or other aspects of the education or training program where test results may be significant guides for action
  • Main conduit and coordinator for SMAC training events. Develops monthly “SMAC Training Day’ schedule and agenda, ensuring applicable, up to date, and accurate training is given to SMAC members with the focus of SMAC specific mission and job performance enhancement

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s of Science in related field
  • 8+ years’ experience in Training Liaison; or 6+ years with a Master of Science degree
  • Knowledge of training administration, policies, and procedures to develop an adequate training program
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of instruction to include use of technology for design and delivery of training
  • Knowledge of data collection techniques and practices used to extract or obtain a variety of information required for the evaluation of training programs
  • Ability to establish training program objectives and to assess progress toward their achievement
  • Ability to apply the principles and techniques of education and to help students acquire specific skills or knowledge
  • 3 years’ experience as a training manager / training liaison for a flying squadron, an AOC, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of AOC and cruise missile specific systems, and advanced tactics, techniques and procedures to be applied to instructional materials
  • A comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of instructional concepts, methods, and techniques is required to develop and plan a variety of courses associated with teaching highly technical syllabus curriculum for the flying training program

 

 

 

Desired Experience:

  • Knowledge of evaluation concepts and principles used toward the conduct of contractual oversight
  • Knowledge of DoD, AF, and major command directives, concepts, procedures, guidance, and policy as they relate to Flying or AOC Training, as well as knowledge of the installation/command mission and organization
  • Rated officer experience
  • Completion of a formal C2 FTU AOCIQTSYS and/or AOCIQTNET course or equivalent
  • 3 years’ experience as a Training chief for a flying squadron, an AOC, or equivalent

The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
