Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities:

 

ISYS Technologies is looking for a Mid-Level Database Manager for the Order of Battle Database (OBD), Tactical Information (TACINFO), and the SMAC SharePoint. The contractor provides overarching requirements analysis and operational support to SMAC and geographic AOC personnel. The contractor will provide daily on-site support, with increased focus on major exercises.

 

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Provide operational management of the SMAC database requirements as applicable to applications supporting SMAC planning and offensive execution functions and interactions with intelligence functions, especially weapon support planning and threat database management
  • Manage OBD and TACINFO standards
  • Coordinate AF/Joint/Allied/Coalition Orders of Battle inputs to ensure standards are maintained
  • Facilitate other service C2 data exchange via applications or established Interface Control Document (ICD) standards
  • Develop functional checklists to assists operators with managing and using SMAC database capabilities
  • Identify and define future SMAC system requirements
  • Participate in operational planning, fielding verification and validation of SMAC upgrades, and modifications
  • Participate in DT&E and OT&E as Database Manager
  • Provide specific training to new and existing SMAC personnel to include the proper management and access of SMAC database information
  • Create and manage the file storage plan and SMAC mission plan route library that will be accessible by outside units
  • Create and manage custom and off the shelf databases in order to meet SMAC repository needs

 

 

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

 

  • 8+ years’ experience as a Database Manager, or 6+ years’ experience with a Master of Science degree
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical, Engineering, or Computer Information Systems related degree required or equivalent related military work experience (United States Air Force [USAF], United States Navy [USN] or United States Marine Corp [USMC])
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of AOC C2 of air assets in joint and combined operations.
  • Participation in SMAC exercises or operations as a Database Manager. Real world contingency experience in AOC Combat Plans or Combat Operations Division is highly desired
  • Experience supporting AOC operations within classified environments to include SIPRNet and JWICS
  • At contract start, Contractor shall possess T1 and T2 certification(s) IAW DoD Manual 8570.1-M, as system administrative privileges are required on site
  • Travel in support of operations in support of war, contingency and humanitarian operations, exercises and experiments that may require CONUS and OCONUS travel
  • Three years’ experience in AOC Combat Plans and Combat Operations applications and management of OBD and TACINFO

 

Desired Experience:

 

  • Air Staff, MAJCOM or NAF staff experience
  • Five years’ experience in AOC Combat Plans and Combat Operations applications and management of OBD and TACINFO
  • Experience with windows based database programs
  • Experience with the file system architecture of TBMCS

Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
