Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities:

 

ISYS Technologies is looking for a Mid-Level SOW Planner. The successful candidate will formulate cruise missile, decoy/jammer strategy and future employment visions for the DoD. They will assist all aspects of cruise missile and decoy/jammer mission planning, execution and training in support of all combatant commanders. Planners will be located at the customer site.

 

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Conduct mission task analysis for kinetic systems
  • Recommend cruise missile routing for tasked applications and advise on cruise missile capabilities against specific centers of gravity (COG) and high-value targets (HVT) to create the desired effects and support accomplishment of the commander’s objectives
  • Provide feasibility assessment on cruise missile capabilities and effects in relation to tasked objectives
  • Advise on force application, execution planning, and combat assessment
  • Provide liaison between geographic Combatant Commander (COCOM)s, DoD units and agencies, other government agencies, and SMAC
  • Conduct standoff munition mission planning and integration in accordance with SMAC processes and USAF/USN/USMC/USA tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) for approximately ten (10) exercises/ experiments/ studies/tests per year
  • Assist in the development and conduct planning and integration of future standoff munition weapon systems
  • Develop, maintain, and coordinate SMAC ISR systems downtime and upgrades and timelines, establishing and coordinating priorities as appropriate
  • Participate in DT&E and OT&E as standoff munition mission planning system and application SME

 

 

 

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

 

  • 8+ years’ experience as a SOW Planner or 6+ years’ experience if you have a Master of Science degree
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical, Engineering, or Computer Information Systems related degree required or equivalent related military work experience (United States Air Force [USAF], United States Navy [USN] or United States Marine Corp [USMC])
  • At least one year of specialized experience, including expert knowledge of JASSM, JASSM-ER, MALD, and MALD-J operation, testing, training principles, concepts, directives, practices, tactics, and techniques
  • Participation in AOC and combatant command exercises or operations. Real world contingency experience is highly desired
  • Experience supporting AOC operations within classified environments to include SIPRNet and JWICS
  • Demonstrated proficiency using unclassified Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet) and classified SIPRNet network enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated mastery of combat air force principles, concepts, directives, practices, analytical methods and techniques and seasoned consultative skill sufficient to resolve internal problems not susceptible to treatment by standard methods
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessment and improvement of DoD Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM), Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile Extended Range (JASSM-ER), Miniature Air Launched Decoy (MALD), and Miniature Air Launched Decoy Jammer (MALD-J) operations
  • Knowledge of overall performance factors for JASSM, JASSM-ER, MALD, and MALD-J
  • Ability to plan, organize, and negotiate effectively with senior analysts and management to accept and implement recommendations, where proposals involve substantial resources and require extensive changes in established concepts and procedures
  • Ability to plan, organize and teach cruise missile and decoy mission planning, employment practices, and mission planning software to new JASSM/MALD planners. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiating complex issues
  • Demonstrated JASSM/JASSM-ER/MALD/MALD-J planner proficiency with Joint Mission Planning System and Unix Mission Planning Systems

 

 

 

Desired Experience:

 

  • Rated Officer experience 
  • Completion of a formal C2 FTU AOCIQTSYS and/or AOCIQTNET course or equivalent

Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
