    Responsibilities

    Functional Responsibilities:                                                                               

          ISYS Technologies is hiring a Senior Applications Developer (Big Data/Hadoop).

     

    Qualifications

    Experience Requirements:

     

    • BS / MS in Computer Science or similar program
    • 3+ years of strong hands-on experience in developing applications in Hadoop ecosystem using industry standard Hadoop tools such as Spark, Impala, Hive, HBase, Sqoop, and Oozie
    • Experience with Big Data Exploration, Profiling, Quality and Transformation techniques
    • Experience building scalable and reliable data pipelines to ingest and process data at-scale and in batch and real-time modes
    • Experience working with complex data formats including structured, unstructured and semi-structured data
    • Proficient in Unix/Linux, Java, Scala, Python or similar languages
    • Experience with at least one NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Relational Databases including SQL Server
    • DevOps, CI/CD, continuous Integration, and development automation
    • Experience with agile development environments and Scrum methodology
    • Design, code, test, debug, and document software solutions using appropriate processes, tools, frameworks, libraries, patterns, best practices and standards
    • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication and organization skills

     

     

    Desired Experience: 

     

    • Cloudera Certified Data Engineer (++)
    • Experience with Hadoop components including Kudu, Solr, Kafka, Flume, ZooKeeper
    • Familiarity with Machine Learning and Deep Learning
    • Ability to troubleshoot and debug Hive/Impala query and perform query optimization
    • Knowledge of master data management (MDM) and metadata related standards, processes and technology

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
