    Responsibilities

    Functional Responsibilities:

                                                                                   

          ISYS Technologies is hiring a Systems Administrator.

     

     

     

    Job Duties:

     

    • Coordinate with network administrators
    • Interact with users and evaluates vendor products
    • Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software
    • Coordinate installation and provide backup recovery
    • Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources
    • Set up administrator and service accounts
    • Maintain system documentation
    • Tune system performance
    • Install system wide software and allocating mass storage space

     

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    Experience Requirements: 

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 6 years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree in a related field plus 4 year of relevant experience; or an Associate's degree in a related field plus 8 years of relevant experience; or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
    • Proficiency in network concepts including hands-on administration experience.
    • Familiarity with Windows Sever Administration and configuration.
    • Experience with VMware and related products.
    • Ability to work on small multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
    • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 (or higher) certification prior to starting

     

     

    Desired Experience: 

     

    • Ability to conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) of architectures and technologies
    • Knowledge and experience with Identity Management concepts and systems including Active Directory
    • Familiarity with Linux operating systems
    • Security engineering and C&A of DoD systems in accordance with DIACAP/DoD 8500
    • Experience with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)

    Essential Requirements - Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. Occasionally, movement that requires twisting at the neck and/or trunk more than the average person, squatting/ stooping/kneeling, reaching above the head, and forward motion will be required. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
