    Functional Responsibilities:

                                                                                   

          ISYS Technologies is hiring a Network Engineer - NIPR VRF.

     

     

     

    Job Duties:

    • Support level duties may include monitoring, installation, modification, testing and servicing of network equipment
    • Work to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on the area/ project team
    • Perform various complex software development tasks
    • Work independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments
    • May assist other technical staff with tasks and assignments
    • Address somewhat complex technical issues/problems using internal best practice and through collaboration with colleagues
    • Develop solutions to technical problems that require depth of technical knowledge, but are typically limited in complexity
    • Communicate with colleagues across multiple areas (project managers, other technical resources, etc.)
    • Explain technical solutions, practices and procedures to others within the organization
    • Require working knowledge of and ability to apply standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques of technical domain

     

    Qualifications

    Experience Requirements:

     

    • BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 -10 years of prior relevant experience
    • Additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree
    • Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+CE

     

    Desired Experience:

     

    • ITIL certification
    • Experience or working knowledge of and ability to apply standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques in one or more of the following areas: Promina, DATM, MSPP, Ciena OTN, DWDM, ODXC, IP SERVICES, DSN, DRSN, MetaSolv Solution (MSS) CMDB
    • Project Management experience

    Essential Requirements - Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. Occasionally, movement that requires twisting at the neck and/or trunk more than the average person, squatting/ stooping/kneeling, reaching above the head, and forward motion will be required. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
