    Provide technical analysis to assist with contingency and non-contingency Narrowband SATCOM operations, planning, management, and control activities. Provide technical support for planning and managing requirements for users and payloads, encompassing legacy to future systems and requirements. Provide support for the development of new operational management, planning, and control systems tools. Support trend analysis activities and operational deficiency assessments in support of operations and management. Provide EMI support to mitigate, resolve, and recover from


    Narrowband SATCOM interference, and support EMI resolution and coordination activities.


    Support constellation health and welfare monitoring activities. Provide support to mitigate, resolve, and recover from satellite anomalies. Provide technical input in support of constellation reconfiguration activities. Provide support to maintain contingency plans to optimize the constellation.


    Provide support for the following: Assist with the Government’s revision of plans, policies, and documentation to account for future changes in Narrowband SATCOM and satellite payload requirements in support of operational decisions; and Periodic review of instructions for current applicability and accuracy as changes occur to the space segment, control segment, and terminal segment.


    Provide support for coordination activities with CCMDs and other SATCOM users to assess availability of Narrowband SATCOM requirements to support current and future operations, OPLANs, CONPLANs, and optimization of SATCOM resources for priority missions.


    Provide support to produce orders that provide oversight and direction to the Narrowband SATCOM COI. Provide assistance with posting, editing, and maintaining appropriate content on the JFSCC SATCOM website in support of the Narrowband SATCOM mission. Provide subject matter expertise and document TTPs.


    • More than twelve (12) years of demonstrated relevant experience with the following:
    • Operation and maintenance of the space, airborne, and terrestrial networks and systems which include at least one of the following systems: Required, Mobile User Objective System (MUOS); Others; UHF, Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF)
    • A systems engineering related background or education field with a specialization in computer science, information technology, or electrical engineering; and
    • Demonstrated relevant experience with the SATCOM apportionment planning and allocation processes taking into consideration all ground, space, and control networks, and operational control of sub-networks for apportioned SATCOM resources
    • The demonstrated capability of performing as a functional back-up for the personnel in Narrowband, Wideband, Protected Band, Commercial Band and EMI in the event specified personnel is unable to perform

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
