    Functional Responsibilities:

                                                                                   

          ISYS Technologies is seeking a Systems Administrator/Security Manager.

     

     

     

    Job Duties:

     

    • Maintain all local JIOWC IJSTO equipment, provide remote troubleshooting assistance for geographically separated organizations, maintain and manage local JIOWC and component organization user accounts
    • Conduct IJSTO security briefings and debriefings and maintain the IJSTO database
    • Monitor user activities to verify compliance with IJSTO program office published security policies and procedures
    • Prepare and submit position access requests required for JIOWC and component organization IJSTO access; Maintain a database of all access requests; Verify accuracy of on-line IJSTO databases as they relate to JIOWC and component organization IJSTO users; and Submit changes and corrections to IJSTO security and administrative oversight personnel offices
    • Prepare and submit requests for additional positions to the Contracting Office Representatives (COR) as necessary; Track status of all such requests; and Coordinate with security and administrative oversight personnel offices to ensure requests are processed
    • Coordinate with other IJSTO sites to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the JIOWC and component organization site
    • Maintain IJSTO network environment equipment (e.g. TACLANE and KIV encryption devices, PROMINA multiplexers, Switch/Routers, etc) by providing expertise and support to component IJSTO sites with constant monitoring of communication lines to ensure connectivity and troubleshoot if needed.
    • Maintain and improve efficiency with software packages on the IJSTO system (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, email applications, Adobe Photoshop, scanner applications, database applications, and other unique programs) by providing expertise and support to other users, documenting their concerns and coordinating with IJSTO community for resolution
    • Provide support for meetings, conferences, other activities and gatherings related to JIOWC and component organization IJSTO actives consisting of the following: System configuration and operation, compilation, preparation, and/or presentation of data in graphic, tabular, oral or other medium when such data pertains to JIOWC or component organization IJSTO actions, activities, projects or assessments
    • Prepare, coordinate, and when required, disseminate IJSTO correspondence, data products, briefings, or other similar items in response to Joint Staff, Combatant Command, or other clients, or requests on the IJSTO system
    • Monitor the status of all network environment equipment and take corrective action to keep JIOWC and component organization IJSTO equipment operational or restore equipment to an operational status when required; Coordinate with IJSTO maintenance personnel at the Special Technical Operations Center to perform maintenance activities and to schedule and perform IJSTO upgrades.
    • At the request of the Government, assist in the review of documentation or planning products for consistency and clarity from an IJSTO perspective and ensure proper format and coordination with other commands as needed
    • Maintain document accountability for those documents requiring such action; Organize and maintain JIOWC IJSTO files and records in accordance with DOD regulations and IJSTO Program Office directives
    • Attend initial and advanced Government only provided training, to include System Administrator/System Manager (SA/SM) security in accordance with CJCSI 3120.08 series
    • Provide informal training to JIOWC IJSTO users on existing and upgraded IJSTO techniques, procedures and policies
    • Provide communications security support in the execution of all elements of the USAF Communications Security Program across the Division and JIOWC IAW the following:
    • NISPOM; DOD Overprint; DOD 5105.21-M-1; DCID 6/4; ICD 704; DODD 5205.8/AFI 33-210, 211, 212, & 215; and AFI 33-201 V2. The aforementioned includes the following advisory and assistance support:
        • Developing and managing separate COMSEC accounts
        • Managing the use and accountability of all secure telephones and type I encryption devices and their associated crypto aids  
        • Developing and administering the Division COMSEC Standard Operating Instructions and Emergency Action Plans
        • Conducting and documenting annual COMSEC training for all users
        • Updating letters of appointments and user designations  
        • Maintaining COMSEC binders including monthly reviews of each section
    • Advise and assist with the management of systems security as follows:
        • Implement the necessary controls and procedures to cost-effectively protect information and system assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure or destruction. 
        • Function as liaison for all IJSTO activities by providing guidance and direction to other functional units for the physical protection of information system assets
        • Provide local system assist to five networks and one communication system by performing administration of user accounts, passwords, and emails
        • Consult with and advise network users
        • Coordinate network administration and performance requirements with others in the information systems function
        • Assign and update security passwords to personnel to provide various levels of system access
        • Delete accounts and release from system for out-processing personnel   
        • Update computer room access lists and fill out security forms
        • Repair or replace terminals and printers as required   
        • Support functional users in troubleshooting computer related problems
        •  Notify users of modified input data/format requirements

     

     

    Qualifications

    Experience Requirements:

    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as Systems Administration/Security Management (SA/SM) with demonstrated knowledge of Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations network environment for operations and maintenance and expertise in the following:
        • Perform systems administration and network management. Minimum of three years’ experience working on a Mac-based system
        • Minimum of three years’ experience integrating information system components necessary to plan, coordinate, and administer computer systems, and optimize system performance. Ability to perform software patches / updates on a Mac-based system
        • Minimum of three years’ experience with operating systems, associated devices, and the interoperability of systems to install, upgrade, troubleshoot, test, and maintain those systems; optimize the functionality and performance of systems; and to ensure the availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers.
        • Minimum of three years’ experience working with DOD regulations related to information security (SAP JSIG, ICD 705, JAFAN 6/3, DIACAP, NISPOM, etc.)
        •  Minimum of three years’ experience working with IP networking, networking protocols and security related technologies including: encryption, IPsec, PKI, VPNs, firewalls, proxy services, DNS, and access-lists, fault tolerance technology and management
        • Minimum of three years’ experience working with Communications Security (COMSEC) procedures. Having functioned as a COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) and Secure Voice Responsible Officer (SVRO) within the last three years is preferred.
        • Minimum of three years’ experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting TACLANES to include: demonstration of the purpose of each LED indicator, and how to change a battery and rekey.
        • Minimum of three years’ experience working at a major command/agency while coordinating with smaller units
        • Minimum of three years’ experience working with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) policy and provide security advice and assistance
        • Attend the IJSTO Operator’s Course and the IJSTO Privileged User’s Course within the last three years, for individuals not currently working as an IJSTO SA/SM       
        • Three years of experience in submitting Billet Action Requests (BARs) and following up on such requests
        • Three years of experience with the IJSTO Graphic User’s Interface (GUI)
