    ISYS Technologies is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst.

    Job Duties:

     

    • Gather and document client business requirements
    • Assist in developing test scripts for web-based applications and desktop platforms
    • Conduct acceptance testing
    • Report software defects
    • Maintain documentation
    • Develop complex queries or standard queries on your own (not relying on soft dev team)
    • Develop test plans and test scripts independent from developer team
    • Migration from mainframe to SQL
    • Client interaction and addressing client needs

    Qualifications

    Experience Requirements: 

    •  
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Developing complex queries or standard queries on your own (not relying on soft dev team)
    • Developing test plans and test scripts independent from developer team
    • DB2 database experience
    • Migration from mainframe to SQL
    • Client interaction and addressing client needs  
    • Working knowledge of a system development methodology
    • 7+ years’ relevant experience in the following:
      • Experience with software quality assurance
      • Experience with developing and executing test plans and scripts
      • Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, MS Project)
      • Ability to write complex SQL queries (MS SQL Server and DB2)
      • Experience in technical writing, system documentation, and operating procedures
      • Experience with gathering user requirements
      • Ability to identify defects, track resolution of problems, and retest defect corrections
      • Experience with SharePoint or other similar document collaboration platforms
    • Excellent analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal)Team player
    • Strong attention to detail, organizing project related material (tracking tasks and work items) in activities such as developing test plans/scripts, testing of applications; ability to identify defects, track resolution of problems, and retest defect corrections
    • Possess great foundation on testing methodology
    • Strong experience authoring documentation (such as User Guide, Quick Reference material, security compliance related material, etc.)
    • Experience with test automation (using Unified Functional Testing and Selenium with scripting) in Agile process for web application; SharePoint or other similar document collaboration platforms
    • Experience working under tight deadlines
    • Experience with and deep understanding of FISMA documentation requirements
    • DB2 database experience

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
