 Functional Responsibilities:


      ISYS Technologies is hiring a Senior Information Systems Specialist.  This is a 1st Shift Help Desk Analyst (Saturday – Wednesday) Help Desk position. The successful candidate is expected to be available for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of an additional 12-month extension.  






Job Duties:

  • Interface with internal customers and various technical support teams
  • Demonstrate ability to follow standard operating procedures and processes 




Experience Requirements:


  • 7+ years of overall IT experience, including a minimum of 5 years of experience providing general help desk support with previous experience opening and maintaining help desk cases via CA Service Desk or BMC Remedy
  • 2+ years’ experience in desktop/laptop troubleshooting and Mainframe monitoring or operations support
  • Excellent written and oral communications are required as this position will interface with clients via phone and e-mail
  • Demonstrated ability to concisely summarize and document client issues
  • 5+ years supporting Microsoft Windows 7 and 8, Microsoft Office (2013), and Microsoft Outlook
  • Experience with Mainframe operations a plus including working knowledge and skill operating z/OS, JES2, VTAM, NetView, TSO, and the use of JCL to monitor and initialize Mainframe resources
  • Strong Level 1 network and VPN diagnosis and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of Iphone smart phone support
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills who can work with people at various levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated strong technical knowledge and experience Active Directory, and Microsoft Lync/Skype for Business



Desired Experience:


  • BS/BA in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
  • HDI or SDI Certification

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
